4 Highly-Effective Yet Underused Social Media Marketing Tools

Social Media Marketing doesn’t have to be difficult, and it doesn’t have to be time-consuming. To make your ‘social’ life easier you should be leveraging the powerful Social Media Marketing tools that have become available in recent years. From post-automation across multiple networks to metrics to omnipotent dashboards, SMM tools do it all—so that you don’t have to.

After sifting through the hundreds, if not thousands of apps that are out there to control your social complexity I’ve come across 4 exceptional examples of undervalued, time-saving, site-promoting tools:

  1. Wibiya

Wibiya is so brilliant I am surprised Steve Jobs didn’t create it. This toolbar floats at the bottom (or top if you prefer) of your webpage and allows users to interact with your site socially—without ever leaving your pages. Also, it is so much more than a share button. Users can share content, chat with their Facebook crowd, add your page to their RSS feed, translate your site, ‘’ things, show related or random blog posts from your site, and so much more—once again, without surfing away from your page.

As if that wasn’t genius enough, it also includes metrics that keep track of how people are interacting with your page and the Wibiya bar. It’s also incredibly customizable so it doesn’t stand out like a nudist in a swimsuit competition.

  2. Arkayne

Every blogger working to promote their blog should consider using Arkayne. This tool is multi-faceted with a powerful dashboard, metrics and analytics AND, most importantly, promotional tools. Arkayne puts a bar at the bottom of your post to recommend similar blog articles across their network, directing traffic to various blogs signed up to their service. The point to keep in mind, if you are thinking—why would I want to direct traffic AWAY from my site!– is that it will also direct traffic TO your site. In order to be well-promoted on the Arkayne network you need to follow standard search optimization rules, but never fear, they make it easy for you with their built in analytic tools that tell you what SEO elements are missing in each blog post. Your blog’s ‘score’ and the follow-up improvement tips will all-around improve your posts, in addition to helping promote them. WordPress and other blogging platforms have similar tools that you can install but you need a myriad of them to do with Arkayne does, and Arkayne doesn’t care which blogging platform you use.

  3. Curate.us0Curate.us offers you a tool that creates visually-effective snippets of the web for your social accounts. It grabs quotes, screenshots, photos and anything else you can think of and posts the content directly to your social networking accounts. It doesn’t require downloading anything, simply pull up their webpage and input the URL of the page you want a snippet from, and voila.
  4. Formulists

If you are a Twitter user, consider Formulists. This tool helps you sort through your ridiculously large following by creating handy-dandy, sortable lists. So, instead of having to manually sort through the virtual crowds, or having to use ’s tedious sorting tools, you can now access the information, groups, and gangs you are looking for. You can create groups based on various parameters, including by geography, most-recent followers, people who retweeted you, by ‘cool kid’ status, and more.

You’re welcome.
